Uniform Policy

1. Purpose and Aims

At QIS, we believe that school uniforms keep students focused on their education. Wearing school uniform enhances school pride, unity, equality and community spirit. School uniforms can deter crime and importantly increase student safety as non-students can be easily identified.

2. School Uniform

The school uniform has been designed to be comfortable, practical and appropriate for the working day

• Modifications of the school uniform will not be accepte.
• All School Uniform items (except footwear) can be purchased from Zaks uniform store.
• As most of the school has tiled flooring, it is highly recommended that students wear closed-in shoes with rubber soles.

2.1. KG:

1. A jacket or cardigan, with QIS logo.
2. A navy-blue V-neck sweater with QIS logo.
3. A plain white shirt/blouse – long or short sleeve with QIS logo.
4. Plain navy-blue school shorts or trousers.
5. Girls must wear a plain navy-blue pinafore with QIS logo.
6. Black colour socks for boys, white socks for girls.
7. Black Leather shoes.

2.2. Primary (Grade 1-5):

1. A jacket or cardigan, with QIS logo
2. A navy-blue V-neck sweater with QIS logo.
3. A plain white shirt or blouse – long or short sleeve with QIS logo.
4. Plain navy-blue school skirt, trousers or shorts, with a black belt, if needed.
5. A plain navy blue or white colour baseball cap (to be worn during outdoor learning or break time.
6. Black colour socks for boys, white socks for girls
7. Black Leather shoes.

2.3. Secondary (Grade 6-12):

1. A jacket or cardigan, with QIS logo.
2. Navy-blue V-neck sweater with QIS logo.
3. A plain white shirt or blouse – long or short sleeve with QIS logo.
4. Plain navy-blue school trousers or knee length or long skirt, with a black belt, if needed.
5. A plain navy blue or white colour baseball cap (to be worn during outdoor learning or break time.
6. Black colour socks for boys, white socks for girls.
7. Black leather shoes.

Approved varsity-style jackets may be worn by Grade 12 students only.

2.4. PE Uniform

1. White polo shirt with navy-blue collar and QIS logo.
2. Navy-blue track pants with QIS logo.
3. Soft-sole white trainers
4. Black or white socks
5. A plain navy blue or white colour baseball cap to be worn during outdoor learning.

All items of uniform should be clearly marked with the owner’s name.
